What about the money?

Starting out as a writer for charity fundraisers made me rethink what we do with “collected” money.

I vowed to myself that any money I’ll make from products I sell, will be given back to people who need it most. Preferably for the rest of my life.

My goal is to have 80% of the proceeds of the poetry & arts book go to a charity we choose together. I prefer something local. I propose a specific Indonesian orphanage. Someone close to home has told me about a specific place that could use our help. Let me know what you think of this by commenting at the bottom of this page.

Symbiosis is being published by CBS Greenman Publications. I do make small investments myself, like on promotions, domain & webhosting.

This is the reason why I cannot afford to pay collaborating artists right now. Hopefully, I will be able to give artists a symbolic gift in the near future!

Artists, don’t hesitate to contact me if you have a better idea. After all, I’m presenting your art.

But then what will I get out of it?
You will be working on a collective project that is focussed on helping people who need it most. Furthermore, I will try my very best to promote your work!

Why did you start art in coexistence?

Over the last two years I have been thinking of two different titles ‘Symbiosis‘ and ‘Human Acts‘. At some point these two ideas made sense together and became ‘Art in Coexistence’.

During the outbreak of the virus I have felt very useless at times. I am a young, healthy person with energy to spend, but I don’t have the knowledge or expertise to help at the frontline. So it’s made me think of something more in my league.

During the lockdown I had a couple of thoughts on art:
– How art is uniting us
– How art is capable of moving us
– How art is helping us share perspectives
– How art will always be an effective way of protesting

Where are you being published?

I have been published by Cider Brandy Scribblers (CBS Greenman Publications), writing mostly on request as part of the Invisible Voices Fundraiser projects. I am, however, still in full ownership of the copyrights.

Most of my work is being sold in a small community and can be republished without any fuss.
